DOT: 215 Improvements Years Away


Balsam Grove residents, who recently told county officials about their frustration over the lack of progress on long-held plans to relocate or rebuild N.C. 215 from Balsam Grove to Rosman, should know that the state hasn't abandoned the project.

Still, if the road is eventually built, it will not be until at least 2015 and will cost more than $73 million.

Project planning and environmental studies are continuing for improvement of the curvy, steep highway.
