Blue Devils Romp To 61-20 Victory In Opener

For the briefest of moments it looked as if the Q. Foundation Falcons of Derita Christian Academy may have come to spoil Brevard head coach Mark Barnes' inaugural game and birthday.

They are, after all, a private school from the Charlotte area, which produces powerhouses like Charlotte Catholic and 4-A Independence.

But in the wink of an eye the Blue Devils rattled off a string of touchdowns from seemingly all corners to win going away 61-20.

The Falcons moved the ball well in their first series, but coughed it up at the 40-yard line with Taylor Rogers falling on the loose ball.
