Former Brevard Police Cheif L.B. Vaughn Jr. Dies
Glenda Sansosti, long-time clerk to the City of Brevard, remembered L.B. Vaughn Jr., as a "really good person and chief of police."
Vaughn, who served as police chief between 1978 and 1995, died Friday at the age of 75 at his home.
"He always had the best interest of his officers and of his citizens at heart," Sansosti said.
"He will certainly be missed."
Current Police Chief Dennis Wilde spoke to the large crowd and six rows of retired and current law enforcement members during Sunday's funeral services.
