Mountaineers Run Up A 49-28 Victory

Brevard head coach Mark Barnes received a rude welcome to football in the mountains Friday night in a 49-28 loss at Tuscola.

The Mountaineers broke open a 28-28 tie with three unanswered touchdowns, the final in the closing seconds when they could have taken a knee to run out the clock.

Barnes took a shot at the Mountaineer coaching staff in his post-game radio interview for running in the meaningless touchdown, but took ultimate responsibility for the team's performance, particularly on defense.
