Glen Cannon Comes Back Better Than Ever After The Fire


A ribbon cutting was held Tuesday to celebrate Glen Cannon Country Club's recent renovation work. It is almost ten months since the fire at Glen Cannon caused significant structural and smoke damage throughout the clubhouse, closing the social center, pro-shop and restaurant. The entire building has been restored to new condition including a new roof, new carpets and completely redecorated throughout. To acknowledge the reopening, the Chamber of Commerce was there along with Mayor Jimmy Harris at the ribbon cutting ceremony to celebrate the occasion.
