Lady Blue Devil Tennis Takes West Henderson 6-3

The Lady Blue Devil tennis team reestablished dominance in the Western Athletic Conference and positioned themselves for a run at the championship in their first league match Wednesday afternoon.

Brevard topped arch-rival West Henderson 6-3 to take a 1-0 lead in conference play.

In number-one singles, Amie Cloer, sister of state champions Chris and Britney Cloer, narrowly defeated Brevard's Davis Clare Hyett 10-8.

The Lady Blue Devils' Julia Van Horn had an easy time at number-two, defeating Jessica Tobin 10-1.

At number-three singles, Lauren Fuller topped Kalan Waldrop 10-6, giving Brevard...
