Gas Stations, Drivers Looking For Some Relief

 


The gasoline shortage continued in Transylvania County on Wednesday, but there are signs the worst may soon be over.

While many stations remained out of gas, some had supplies, including the Energy Mart on Rosman Highway and the Triangle Stop stores on the Rosman and Asheville highways.

The Energy Mart had regular gas available for $4.19 a gallon on Wednesday, said manager Wanda Ledford.

The station has been out of gas periodically since the shortage began last Thursday night in anticipation of Hurricane Ike's assault on Texas and Louisiana oil facilities.
