Murder Suspect Charged Again
Denver Johnson, accused of first degree murder, faces three new charges in an unrelated case.
Last Friday, Johnson was charged with false imprisonment, assault on a female and communicating threats, all misdemeanors.
The Transylvania Organized Central Dispatch center received a call around 8 p.m. on Sept. 19 from a woman in Pisgah Forest who claimed Johnson was holding her daughter hostage.
According to the Sheriff's Office, several cars were dispatched to Pisgah Forest and Johnson was apprehended and taken into custody. Johnson was released Sept. 23 after posting an $8,500 secured bond.
