Families Ask Why After Three Die In Wreck


A head-on collision on Thursday evening on U.S. 64 killed three Transylvania County women and left family members wondering how it happened.

Kathy Tritt, 46, her sister, Vickie Jolley, 47, both of Pisgah Forest, and a friend, Freita Morgan, 51, of Cedar Mountain were traveling eastbound just after 9:15 p.m. on U.S. 64 when Tritt's 1987 Honda Civic went left of center.
