One-Stop On A Roll

One-stop voting continues to attract about 700 voters a day to the old Transylvania County Library, keeping election workers on their toes, said Judy Matthews, director of the local Board of Elections.

As of about 10 a.m. on Wednesday, Matthews said 3,171 people had already voted.

Of those, 946 were Republicans, 1,421 were Democrats and 804 were unaffiliated. One-stop ends on Nov. 1. Voting hours at the former library building on South Broad Street in Brevard are 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Friday, and 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 25 and Nov. 1.
