Parole Granted In Murder Case
John Perry Fisher was paroled on Friday after spending 23 years in prison for the murder of Claude Alan Hill of Brevard. Meanwhile, another Transylvania County resident, Clyde Eugene "Doc" Mason, sentenced to life in prison in 1987 for murdering his ex-wife, Sarah Pearlee Mason, is eligible for parole.
A jury found the then 26-year-old Fisher guilty of murdering Hill on Feb. 3, 1984. Hill died after suffering multiple stab wounds.
