Officals To Be Sworn In Monday


Transylvania County Commissioners said goodbye Monday to one of their colleagues.

Commissioner David Guice attended his last meeting, ending eight years of service to the county. But he won't be going far.

He'll remain a resident of Transylvania County but spend a lot more time in Polk and Henderson counties, as well as the state capital, Raleigh.

Guice won election to the state House of Representatives Nov. 4, replacing the retiring Trudi Walend of Brevard as the advocate for the three counties.
