City Taking Another Look At Fluoride

Prior to deciding in July 2007 to remove fluoride from the city's drinking water, Brevard City Council was given stacks of information for and against.

During its meeting Monday, Council again asked staff to do research and evaluate the use of fluoride in drinking water. Councilwoman Dee Dee Perkins said there are a number of people in the community, including dentists, who don't feel they were properly "heard" before the 2007 decision was made.

Councilman Mac Morrow said he felt those who spoke against removing the fluoride didn't sufficiently address the concerns raised about its introduc...
