Charles "Charlie" Tinsley

Charles "Charlie" Tinsley, 91, of Brevard, died Wednesday, March 9, 2011, at his home.

He was a native of Transylvania County and a son of the late Clarence and Adele Flynn Tinsley. His wife, Penny Tinsley, three sisters and one brother, preceded him in death.

He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Brevard and a retiree of Olin-Ecusta. During his long life, he loved his family, worked hard, enjoyed hunting, riding his Harley and spending time with his grandsons.

He is survived by his daughter; Bobbie Jordan, of Brevard; two grandsons, Wes and Greg Jordan; one brother, Bud Tinsley and wife, Martha, of Brevard; sister-in-law, Bonnie Tinsley, of Brevard; brother-in-law, Reg Harden, of Florida and many nieces and nephews.

A graveside service was held on Friday, March 11, 2011, at 1 p.m. at Pisgah Memorial Gardens with Rev. Tommy Owen and Larry Tinsley officiating.

A very special thank you to Transylvania Regional Hospital Hospice whose love, comfort and support meant so much to the family.

To Dianna McCall and Becca Cantrell, no words can express how much the family appreciated their caring, loving support.
