Volunteers Help To Fill School Supply Closet

 

Last week volunteers helped transport supplies from Kmart to the actual supply closet. With the cuts to education, teachers and students will be relying more than ever upon voluntary donations to fill the gap in school supplies. A group of individuals and organizations have been working hard this summer to fill the Kimzey-Tilson Student Supply Closet.

The supply closet is named after in memory of two beloved high principals – one from Brevard High and one from Rosman High.

The school supplies are for low-income students or those who are eligible for the free lunch program. Supplies include notebook paper, pencils, crayons, and other required materials. These supplies will...
