Tigers To Face Potent Bulldog Attack On Friday


Ten miles up the mountain in Rosman, the road (literally) doesn’t get any easier for the Tigers, as they make the long trip to Murphy, one of the top 1-A programs in the state.

The Bulldogs’ record at 1-3 belies their reputation. They opened 0-3 against 3-A Georgia competition and Franklin (a 21-38 loss). But last week Murphy won 28-12 over Smoky Mountain.

“It’s not like they’re not any good,” said Rosman head coach Freddie Whitman. “Anytime you lose 20-plus seniors off a team there’s going to be a drop-off.”
