Brevard Falls To Falcons 3-6 In Thursday Tennis Action

The Blue Devil tennis team’s streak of conference championships is in jeopardy after a 3-6 loss to rival West Henderson on Thursday.

Brevard has won 16 straight conference titles, going back to 1995 with hardly a loss in all that time.

But this season the Blue Devils start a majority of underclassmen in the top six, albeit bolstered by last year’s state champion, sophomore Korey Lovett.

“I knew this season would be a rebuilding year for us,” said head coach Mike Vandegrift. “We’ve got some work to do to get back to our level, but we’ll bounce back.”
