Warm Weather Should Bring Out The Bees

 


A burst of activity among ground-nesting bees in the piedmont means we will be seeing them in Transylvania County soon, according to Dr. Michael Waldvogel with the NCSU Department of Entomology. Warm temperatures and rain have caused the soil to soften, giving the bees an excellent environment for digging.

As the bees forage for food and seek out new nesting sites, their activity will continue for about two months.
