Terry Bane Ward


Terry Bane Ward, of Lake Toxaway, died Sunday, March 18, 2012, in Chesapeake, Va. after a brief illness while in hospice care at his sister’s house.

He was born Dec. 31, 1947, in Gatewood, W.Va. to the late Thompson B. Ward Jr. and the late Gladys Bradshaw Ward.

He worked as a pipefitter for Fluor Daniels and B.K. & E. Construction companies at numerous sites in the southeast. He was well respected for his work. He was a true outdoorsman at heart and loved to fish.

Survivors include his son Terry B. Ward Jr., of Lake Toxaway, brother, Ronnie Ward, of Salisbury, N.C. and three sisters, Shirley Fisher, of Eastanolle, Ga., Jean Gaddy, of Brevard and Sally Campbell, of Chesapeake, Va. as well as numerous nieces, nephews and friends. He will truly missed by the community of Lake Toxaway.

There will be a private family service.
