Bank Replies To French Broad Lawsuit

 


Asheville Savings Bank has filed an answer to the January lawsuit filed by the developers of French Broad Place.

The bank says the French Board Place lawsuit, which asks for $10 million, is without merit and should be dismissed.

The bank denies most of the claims made in the suit and says the developers, not the bank, should hand over some money.

Attorneys for both parties were contacted for comment on this story this week. None responded.

In an answer to the lawsuit, the bank’s attorney, Thomas McClellan, said the allegations “fail to state a claim for relief.”
