Rose Ann Davis, 88, of Brevard, passed away Sunday, April 8, 2012.

She was born March 22, 1924, in Akron, Ohio to the late Tony Conti and Mary Pagna Conti. In addition to her parents, four brothers and three sisters preceded her in death.

She lived in Akron for most of her life, having gone to Akron East High School. She later married her high school sweetheart, on Feb. 12, 1947, in Akron, and later moved to Canton, Ohio where she worked for Hoover Vacuum Company for 37 years.

Upon retirement, she and her husband moved to Palm Bay, Fla. where they lived for 21 years. While there they enjoyed many friends, took many trips and cruises and managed to become very proficient in ballroom dancing. She was also an active member of the Golden Steppers Club, a senior tap-dance group that performed shows for the public.

She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Corvis A. Davis, of Brevard; her daughter, Jeanette Schmitt and husband Robert, of Pisgah Forest, and numerous nieces, and nephews.

A memorial service will be held on April 27, 2012 at St. Philips Church, 256 E. Main St., in Brevard.
