Local Democrats Hear Rallying Call - Brevard NC

The Transylvania County Democratic Party Convention Saturday featured speeches rallying members to the cause and criticizing the Republican-dominated state Legislature and governorship.

Norman Bossert, the local party chairman, challenged his fellow Democrats at the convention held at the library’s Rogow Room.

“I don’t ever want to see Tom Apodaca’s name alone on a ballot again,” Bossert said of the Henderson County Republican who ran unchallenged in November for the N.C. Senate District 46 seat, which includes Transylvania.
