Facts Dictate Where Lines Are Drawn


Twice last week I have encountered the name of the German city “Dresden.” Once it was written on a placard displayed by a youthful protestor at some forgotten demonstration. The other was in April 9, 2013 opinion letter to The Transylvania Times, penned by George Baker. It is obvious that “Dresden” is about to enter the left’s lexicon for use by those who have no historical perspective or context, that is, students and professors.

I would never dare display my knowledge of microbiology or mechanical engineering in writing if I had no such knowledge (and I don’t). I am grieved...
