'Go With Me' Tour Event To Benefit Animal Shelter – Brevard NC

Meghan Wolfgram and Pretzel

Local dog owners are invited to bring their dogs to an upcoming event called lure chasing in Brevard. The event will be held Saturday, May 11, in The Meadow at Straus Park from 1-4 p.m. There is no admittance fee and the cost to let your dog run the chase is $10.

Hosted by Swift Paws, a female-owned worldwide manufacturer of lightweight, electric lure machines, the event will benefit Friends of the Animal Shelter.

“In addition to spreading awareness about the benefits of dog exercise and the convenience of lure chasing, I wanted to be sure that we were giving back to each community and raising support for important doggy causes,” said co-owner Meghan Wolfgram, who has been travelling on tour with her dog, Pretzel, in a Sylvan Sport GO camper.

Professional photographer Susannah Kay will be on site taking action shots of participating dogs. Kay is currently studying photojournalism at Ohio University. Kay will provide digital photographs, which will be emailed to each customer at a cost of $8 for one image or $15 for multiple images.

Pure Pets will offer raffle prizes. Dogs must be leashed and owners must clean up after them. The running course is completely fenced in for the dog’s safety.

The upcoming event marks the Grand Finale of the Swift Paws “GO with Me” Tour, which has been going on since March 2013. To find out more information, visit http://www.SwiftPaws. com. To find out more about Sylvan Sport, the Brevard company behind the GO Camper, visit http://www.SylvanSport.com.
