That's Voles With A 'V', Not Moles With An 'M' – Brevard NC

 


“The moles in my yard are killing my plants! How do I get rid of them?”

After “what can I plant that deer won’t eat?” this is the most common question asked us by Transylvania County gardeners.

You may have a mole or two in your yard but moles are carnivores, eating worms, grubs and other insects but not your plants. Voles, however, are small mouse-like mammals that dine on flower bulbs, girdle stems of woody plants and gnaw roots of plants that you hold dear.
