Chief: No Improper Actions By City Officers - Brevard NC

After a formal request for an investigation into the actions of his officers, Brevard Police Chief Phil Harris said he has found no evidence of improper procedure.

The formal complaint was filed by Sheila Alexander, mother of Michael Kitchen, who was arrested May 14, 2011. During his arrest, officers allege a woman in the apartment, Natasha Sinclair, set fire to the apartment by dousing officers in a flammable liquid before igniting the liquid with a lit cotton ball.
