United Way Plans Press Conference Event – Brevard NC

 

United Way of Transylvania County's Steve Pulliam, Executive Director, and Jim Trefz, board president, check out the fit of a fedora for the agency's upcoming "Mock Press Conference Event."

The public is invited to attend the United Way of Transylvania County (UWTC) "Mock Press Conference Event" Wednesday, Nov. 13, at 5:45 in the Rogow Room at the Transylvania County Public Library. Steve Pulliam, UWTC executive director, will announce the results of new collaborative programs sponsored by the agency and present a match challenge opportunity for the community at large.

UWTC disperses funds through grants to local agency programs. At the current time, UWTC funds programs that: help prevent teen pregnancy, homelessness and youth abuse and neglect; provide housing, hot meals, adult day care, family counseling, after-school programs, health care access, free transportation, youth athletic programs, financial counseling and youth conflict-resolution training; and assist with strengthening families.
