Last updated 12/2/2013 at 9:15am

For the second time in a month, Transylvania County’s longest-standing murder trial was delayed again after Superior Court Judge Marvin Pope granted a motion to continue the trial until April 7, 2014.

Amber Dalton, who was charged with one count of first-degree murder in the death of Richard Hampton Holden on Aug. 21, 2009 at his apartment on Unity Drive in Brevard, had been scheduled to be tried on that charge, as well as charges of assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill inflicting serious injury and first-degree burglary on Dec. 16 in a special term of Superior Court.
