William Quinn Harris

The Lord of heaven received William Quinn Harris into His loving arms Sunday, March 9, 2014.

Quinn's parents and family are Jimmy and Carri Harris, and sisters, Cassi, 12, and Calla, 9, of Brevard. He was adored by grandparents, Mabry and Shelby Harris, of Brevard, and Joe and Christine Pace, of Cedar Mountain.

He also leaves aunts and uncles, Matt and Daniela Jones, Mark and Sue Harris Robinson, Andre Treadway, Bryan and Diana Treadway, Jeff and Darah Paige Harris Trent, Jeff and Dr. Rachel Harris Coward, and cousins, Levi Jones, Mabry and Greer Robinson, Jennifer and Will Treadway, Sarah, Bennett, and Christopher Treadway, Sophia and Bella Trent, and Emma Coward, who loved and celebrated him with love and affection.

He also leaves behind many others that have been so important and influential in his life. The family will be eternally grateful for the love, support, and friendships shared with Quinn in his brief, yet meaningful life here on Earth.

Quinn entered this world Aug. 29, 1997. Just 10 short days later, Jimmy and Carri received the glorious word that this beautiful little boy was going to be theirs. Life changed at that point for the Harris family and this little baby grew into a very special young man that any parent would be proud of. His endearing personality, character, and contagious zaniness brought joy to every minute of every day.

Quinn was a sophomore at Brevard High School, where he loved playing football, soccer, and chorus. He spoke highly of his football coaches and teammates. He loved the sport and especially the Miami Dolphins.

He just recently discovered his passion for singing. He was in chorus at BHS and had started singing in the Praise Choir at Brevard Wesleyan Church.

Family was important to Quinn. Birthdays, anniversaries, holidays, and cookouts were always a great reason to gather and he was always there to celebrate.

Quinn enjoyed working at the family business, Harris ACE Hardware, where he would interact with customers who often remarked of his great manners and customer service skills. Everyone who knew him enjoyed his engaging personality. He lit every room he walked into with his smile and friendliness. His fun-loving sense of humor kept everyone laughing. He will be greatly missed on Main Street.

Quinn's service will be held at 4 p.m. Thursday, March 13, 2014, at Brevard First Baptist Church in Brevard.

Graveside services will be held immediately following the service at Blue Ridge Gardens of Memory (formerly known as Pisgah Gardens) in Pisgah Forest.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Bread of Life Ministry in Brevard where he spent Thanksgiving morning each year serving others.
