'Tiny Homes' Offer New Way Of Living – Brevard NC


The Hagedorns' "Keep on the Sunny Side" home (above and below) took roughly three-to-four months to construct, including design time and material gathering. The home includes a kitchen, a bed loft and a bathroom, including a shower. Jake and Annelise Hagedorn built and live in the house, which is currently in Pennsylvania, where the couple is attending graduate school at Penn State.

The Brevard Tiny House Company (BTHC) is having an open house at the Transylvania Farmers Market from 8 a.m. until noon this Saturday.

The BTHC team will be leading tours of the "Robin's Nest" tiny house (in the late stages of construction) and giving two educational seminars, "Living Tiny" and "The Steps of Going Tiny."

BTHC is a family business that builds 100 percent custom-designed tiny homes on wheels.

The homes are built on trailers as large as 8 feet by 24 feet and can range from 100 to 800 square feet.
