Community Garden Has New Addition – Brevard NC

Earlier this year, the Rice Street Community Garden began its third season of growing crops for the needy of Brevard and Transylvania County. But this time, the garden started the year with a new twist-its very first roof.

Thanks to the generosity of the St. Philip's Episcopal Church Foundation, the garden now has a toolshed, complete with an earth-friendly, maintenance-free, green metal roof.

On March 6, the fully constructed 8 by 10-foot shed, advertised as "built with Mennonite craftsmanship," arrived at the garden's location on East Main Street.
