Helen V. Fullbright


Helen V. Fullbright, 92, passed away Saturday, June 14, 2014, at St. Leonard’s Retirement Home in Centerville, Ohio.

She was born in Brevard March 1, 1922 to W. Perry Fullbright and Lula Glazener Fullbright, and was the sixth of seven children. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Vernon, Earl, and Wayne and sisters, Opal, Lucy and Margaret, as well as nieces, Susan Myers and Marcie Fullbright.

She was a graduate of Brevard High School and Brevard College. She loved to read and was an avid bridge player her entire life.

She was employed by Ecusta (Olin), retired in 1985 after 45 years of service, and was a lifelong member of First Baptist Church of Brevard.

She is survived by niece, Pamela (Peter) Julian; great-nephews, Paul Julian and Matthew Chandler, and great-great-nephew, Carter Julian, along with Matthew’s father, Mark Chandler.

There will be a graveside service at 1 p.m. Saturday, June 21, 2014, at Gillespie-Evergreen Cemetery with Rev. Tommy Crocker officiating.

The family would like to express gratitude to the staff of St. Leonard’s for their loving care and kindness.
