Bakers Donate Money For Silvermont Trails In Son's Name - Brevard NC

Gene and Sally Baker have pledged $45,000 for new handicap accessible trails at the Silvermont grounds in Brevard in memory of their son, Jonathan.

"Jonathan loved the outdoors," said Gene. "He was riding the roads of Transylvania County before the current bike craze going on.

"His favorite ride was to go up (N.C.) 215 towards Waynesville and back to Brevard over the mountain. There is not a trail his feet didn't touch on this side of the Pisgah, hiking or backpacking."
