Gorges Completes A New Trail - Brevard NC

A new walking trail at Gorges State Park, the first to lead from the visitors center, is completed. The trail leads to the Bearwallow Valley Overlook and connects to the Bearwallow Picnic Area Trail.

Park Ranger Torry Nergart said the 0.26-mile trail is treaded the entire distance and has a grade of about 7 percent, significantly less steep than other trails in the park.
