Veterans, Nation Pause Tuesday-Brevard NC

As many will pause to remember during Veterans Day tomorrow, members of the Veterans of Foreign War Post 4039 on Nicholson Creek Road are also looking to the future and the repair of their Nicholson Creek Road headquarters in Brevard that was damaged by fire on Aug. 8.

Last week, Post Commander Charles Holden, a veteran of the Korean and Vietnam wars, was selling Buddy Poppies at the Ecusta Credit Union on the Asheville Highway.

Holden had raised about $70 in "Buddy Poppies" by mid-day Friday.
