3 Teens Arrested After Shooting Incident - Brevard NC

 


Three Brevard teens were arrested Saturday evening after an alleged shooting incident at Balsam Crest Apartments.

No one was injured during the incident, according to the Brevard Police Department (BPD).

At 6:40 p.m., Saturday, the BPD received a 911 call of a disturbance at the apartment complex. The alleged victims advised police there were three males involved that were leaving the scene in a white passenger car. The victims, according to the BPD, were able to provide a license plate number.

Officers located the suspects’ vehicle parked in front of a Brevard residence. Brevard police, along with Transylvania County sheriff’s deputies, made contact with the home occupants.

The following suspects were arrested and charged:

• Trejon Malik Whitesides, 18, with felony aid and abet discharging a barreled weapon, felony possession of a schedule II substance, resisting a public officer, and hit and run, leaving a scene with property damage.

He was given a $25,000 secured bond.

• A 16-year-old Brevard resident with felony discharging of a weapon in a occupied property, felony possession of a schedule II substance, assault by pointing a gun, and possession of handgun by minor. The 16-year-old was given a $40,000 secured bond.

• A second 16-year-old Brevard, with

resident with felony aid and abet discharging a barreled weapon, felony possession of a schedule II substance, and possession of a handgun by a minor. He was given a $25,000 secured bond.
