Rice Street Community Garden Ready For Planting – Brevard NC

The last part of this winter has been tough, so the Rice Street Community Gardeners are itching for spring to come.

The volunteers who care for the garden will be preparing the soil for planting cool weather crops on Sunday, March 15, from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m., and on Saturday, March 21, from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.

All community members from experienced gardeners to novices are welcome on one or both days. Wear boots and bring gloves and a sense of humor.

The garden is located on the sloping hill behind the Comporium parking lot on East Main Street. It's diagonally across from the Farmers Market....
