Sharing House Rocks Along Day By Day

A typical week at Sharing House reveals an operation that runs like a Swiss watch. We talked to about 125 families every week last year. That would be 6,900 families assisted during the year, a 57 percent jump over 2013.

Led by Rev. Shelly Webb, the paid staff of eight needs only minimal interaction to direct the 140 volunteers who do a remarkable job keeping everything on schedule.

Our clients fall into three main groups: single moms who work one or more part-time jobs to support their children, people with disabilities who are unable to work, and senior citizens whose retirement incomes...
