Lady Tiger senior sprinter Megan Lewandowski became the most recent signee to continue her athletic career, signing with Mars Hill University to run track next spring.

Lewandowski, a three-time (likely four time) regional qualifier, will likely compete in the 100-meter, 200-meter and 400-meter sprints for the Lions next year.

She is the starting leg for both of Rosman's state qualifying relay teams, according to head coach Dusty Robinson.

"Her times are good - really competitive," Robinson said. "She's very coachable, very hard working and a great teammate.

"And in all honesty, she and Claire (Harris) are two of the biggest factors for the building of the track team the past two years."

Lewandowski and Harris were the two biggest advocates for the Rosman High School track program, drumming up support among their fellow athletes.

Lewandowski visited the campus and liked the coaching staff immediately.

"When talking to the coaches, it's like talking to coach Rob," Lewandowski said. "They're really easy to get along with."

Lewandowski plans to major in biology while at Mars Hill.
