Two archrivals down, two to go.

Less than a week after sending Shelby down to a 5-4 defeat in the second round, Brevard faced an old nemesis in Salisbury.

The Hornets went much more quietly Monday afternoon - 6-0 - setting up a semifinals match with Wilkes Central Wednesday (too late for inclusion in this issue).

A win Wednesday would likely set the Blue Devils up in the state championships with Carrboro, the team who beat them for the title last year.

But first the Blue Devils had to get by 13-1 Salisbury.
