Brian Kreigsman Is Off To The Races – Brevard NC

Not many would stand in fire resistant gear for four hours in 100 degree heat and consider that a labor of love - much less a lucky volunteer opportunity - but Brian Kreigsman does just that.

The retired detective for the Transylvania County Sheriff's Department and member of Brevard Rescue Squad, travels to Concord twice a year, on his own dime, to take part in the biggest race in the state.

Kreigsman is one of the unpaid members of the fire crew on pit row, rubbing elbows with famous drivers and crew members several times a year.
