The Salvation Army Unveils Its New Larger Location – Brevard NC

On Monday, Aug. 17, the Transylvania County office of The Salvation Army unveiled its new location at 126 North Caldwell St. More than 30 people attended The Chamber of Commerce's unveiling ceremony.

Clark E. Lovelace, executive director of the area chamber, assisted Major Brian Gilliam with the ribbon cutting. Gilliam expressed excitement that The Salvation Army is experiencing at being able to serve more people in need in this new, larger facility.

Gilliam said, "As the new facility is more than three times larger than our previous space, we look forward to meeting existing needs on a grander scale. The Salvation Army strives to assist people in the community with social services that include emergency assistance with energy, fuel, rent, housing, clothing, and food. Our Transylvania County staff and volunteers stand ready to continue to 'Do The Most Good.'"
