Paris: City Of Lights Remains True To Itself

It was the best of times; it was the best of times," to misquote Charles Dickens.

Ten days in Paris with my sister and brother-in-law at the end of October in 2014 will go down in my travels as a spectacular vacation.

My sister asked me how Paris had changed in 30 years and I quickly answered, "It hasn't." And that is the beauty; the comfort of time passing yet all remaining as one remembered.

The city is clean. The Parisians in their quiet elegance were steadfastly helpful, and maybe best of all, the city is walkable.
