Tigers Fall In Playoff Heartbreaker To Murphy – Rosman NC


Justin Fisher returns the opening kickoff of the second half during Rosman's playoff game against Murphy Friday night.

The Murphy Bulldogs held a 13-0 lead and Rosman head football coach Freddie Whitman was stomping the side lines waiting on the point after attempt to be over.

"Is this really how you want to end it? Is this how you want to be remembered? You came to Murphy in the playoffs and just laid an egg," Whitman told his team.

The senior-laden Tigers heeded the words of their coach in the second round of the 1A NCHSAA playoffs last Friday night and gave Murphy a fight before falling 28-27.
