'Virtual School' An Option For Bad Weather - Brevard NC


With the approach of winter and inclement weather, Transylvania County Schools’ administrators are preparing to have virtual school days.

Due to state regulations, students must be in school for a designated number of days or a certain number of instructional hours.

Due to snowy or icy conditions, however, schools sometimes close and those days have to be made up.

Those missed days are made up by going to school on Saturday, missing part of spring break or extending the school year into the summer.
