How Do Civil Rights Laws Apply To Student


We have just celebrated Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s birthday, so it’s a great time to think about federal civil rights laws and how they apply to schools, colleges, and universities.

The most important civil rights laws for educational institutions are Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, Title IX of the 1972 Education Amendments, and Section 504 of the Vocational Rehabilitation Act of 1973.
