Renowned Violinist Gluzman To Play 326-Year-Old Stradivarius – Brevard NC

Vadim Gluzman will not be the only celebrated star on the stage of the Porter Center when he plays Beethoven with the Brevard Philharmonic. In competition for the spotlight on the afternoon of Feb. 21 will be Gluzman's violin, a 1690 ex-Leopold Auer Stradivari, on extended loan to him from the Stradivari Society of Chicago.

Gluzman's Auer has been the inspiration for generations of great violinists and composers, including the great Hungarian violinist and teacher, Leopold Auer, its first owner and teacher of the legendary Jascha Heifitz.
