Gold Football Commemorates Marvin – Brevard NC

Brevard High School has a new piece of hardware for the trophy case: a gold football to commemorate the career of Mickey Marvin.

As part of the NFL celebrating Super Bowl 50 this year, the league sent gold footballs to high schools with Super Bowl champion alumni.

Marvin, who graduated from Brevard in 1973 after transferring from West Henderson, won two Super Bowls as a starting offensive lineman for the Oakland/Los Angeles Raiders in the '80s.
