Students Need 'True Grit' To Succeed In Life

In the 1969 version of the movie, “True Grit,” 14-year-old Mattie Ross (played by Kim Darby) looks up at the irascible Rooster Cogburn (played by John Wayne) and says, “They tell me you are a man with true grit,” as she attempts to find the man that will help to avenge her father’s death.
