Trails Carolina: Clearing Paths For Youth – Transylvania County NC

A local camp is using one of North Carolina's most abundant resources as a ways and means of therapy - the great outdoors.

Trails Carolina, a wilderness therapy program based in Lake Toxaway, is attempting to heal youth and teens suffering from various problems, such as mental health issues and family troubles, by bringing them outdoors and challenging them.

"It's not a summer camp," said Program Director Jeremy Whitworth.
